Gavin Robbins

fmea.co.uk Ltd. was originally established in 2007 as Gavin Robbins Consulting Limited by Gavin Robbins Ba(Hons). The company’s name changed in 2014 to reflect the expansion of the company, to include additional facilitators, plus the acquisition of the website domain name fmea.co.uk

Prior to this, Gavin spent eight years managing the UK branch of APIS Informationstechnologien GmbH. This role led him to perform FMEA Methodology & APIS IQ-Software trainings at company premises around the world (USA to South Korea, and Norway to South Africa).

The companies that Gavin has worked with have predominantly been automotive, but he has also worked with companies within other industries, such as aerospace, foods, nuclear, medical, white goods etc.

Gavin has facilitated FMEA projects for many prestigious companies, such as Bosch Thermotechnology (Greenstar CDi), Aston Martin (DB11, Vulcan, Taraf, Vantage, DB12, Valhalla…), Lear Corporation (Land Rover Defender Seating), Dyson (Electric SUV) and McLaren Applied (IPG5 800V Silicon Carbide Inverter). These projects also included the rolling out of professional FMEA software, and the training of company employees in FMEA Methodology and APIS IQ-RM.

Although Gavin’s considered as an expert in the APIS IQ-Software (version 3.5 onwards), he also has experience of working with alternative software solutions i.e. with Arrival, and most recently Volta Trucks (PLATO e1ns).

He is also a bit of a philanthropist, so over the years fmea.co.uk has supported many charitable activities (e.g. Cancer Research UK & Bowel Cancer UK), and sponsored Stafford Rugby Union Football Club teams (2014-2019). Currently he is a trustee of a local community association.
