Meet the team:

Gavin Robbins

fmea.co.uk Ltd. was established by Gavin in 2007 as Gavin Robbins Consulting Limited.

Prior to this (2000-2007) Gavin managed a UK branch of APIS Informationstechnologien GmbH. This role lead him to perform FMEA Methodology & APIS IQ-Software trainings at companies around the world (Americas to Asia). Although these companies were predominantly were automotive, he also worked with companies within aerospace, white goods, pharmaceutical industries.. See companies that Gavin worked with prior to establishing fmea.co.uk.

Gavin has worked closely with companies such as Aston Martin Lagonda and Lear Corporation to implement failure mode avoidance, and roll out dedicated FMEA software.

Gavin is also a bit of a philanthropist and supports charitable causes (See: Paul Drake - Cancer Research UK & Charlotte Terry and Emily Giddings - Bowel Cancer UK). fmea.co.uk has also provided sponsorship to Stafford Rugby Union Football Club.

Mark Miller

Mark Miller joined fmea.co.uk in 2016. Mark has over 25 years of engineering experience and has worked within the Automotive, Aerospace & Domestic Appliances industries. Mark is a Six Sigma Black Belt and came to fmea.co.uk from Jaguar Land Rover where his last role was a Module Leader for interior trims.

James Bruce

James Bruce joined fmea.co.uk in 2019. James came from Jaguar Land Rover as Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer. James started in the automotive industry as an Undergraduate Quality Engineer for Vauxhall Motors Ltd. He then spent 3 years working at Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd. as a Senior Quality Engineer which is the time that he met Gavin Robbins from fmea.co.uk.

Matt Grix

Matthew Grix joined fmea.co.uk in 2019. Matthew came from Rolls Royce as Purchasing Improvement Developer. Matt has spent time working at IBM and e-on before entering the automotive industry as a Quality Data Analyst for Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd., which is where he met Gavin Robbins from fmea.co.uk. Matthew then moved on to become a Quality Engineer at JCB and a SQM Project Engineer at Bentley Motors Ltd.

fmea.co.uk is currently working with a growing number of companies, supporting them with their major projects which range from products in conception to products for mass production.


Failure Modes & Effects Analysis is employed within many industries, and we have experience of providing FMEA facilitation and bespoke FMEA trainings for companies that are operating in the Aerospace, Automotive, Food, Marine, Pharmaceuticals, Gas & Oil, Medical, Nuclear, Power & Thermotechnology industries.
