We are constantly asked how long a FMEA will take on a specific product or production line, but this is like asking "How long is a piece of string?" FMEA is a process that should be undertaken throughout a products life cycle i.e. from conseption through to mass production!

Because of this we can provide is rough guidance about the duration, in consecutive days, upto the first entry of the risk assessment:
